Albatross Are Beautiful

The Laysan Albatross is one of the largest sea birds, standing 3 feet tall, and boasting a 6 foot wingspan.
Their large wingspan and light body weight (4-6 lbs) make them master gliders.
They are unique in that they are monogamous: partners will only separate in death or disappearance. This is a truly beautiful display of loyalty considering these birds can live up to 60 years old.

  1. TheSe are interesting facts, like it.
Suggestion: also would be good to talk about their diet. Deniz A.

    1. I feel that diet is really important and should be included. This could lead to why they are drawn to eating plastic..is it because the colors reflect what they eat or the area that it floats (maybe near where it eats ect...)

  2. Aw cute clips, and I like that you added such interesting facts and photos. Creates more motive to care about these creatures.
As Deniz mentioned, providing more info about what they SHOULD be eating would be helpful!

  5. Could you please tell me who is the photographer/owner for the first albatross photo on this page? The one where the bird is looking right at the camera? I would like to speak with him or her about the possibility of using the image in another work.
